I can tell you a lot of good ways to start the New Year off right – like eating your black eyed peas, ringing in another year with your family, sleeping in until 8 (which is real late for Wade), and getting a new car! But let me tell you a reaaaalllll good way to start off the New Year… taking a trip to Target two days in a row! PURE BLISS. I swear they have something magical in the air of a Target! I frequent the RedDotBoutique at least once a week, but it’s magical every single time I go! I did not, however, stay within the budget I was hoping I would be able to in 2021, either time. No shame, though. I’ll get ’em next year! I did want to share what some things I got, though! A few clothes items, a few food items, and a couple skin / hair care items I buy at Target! I’ll share it all and link it all below for ya!

I made my mom snap a pic of me and bubs on the big red ball to document our second trip to Target this year…. and it’s only January 2nd lolllll. But his smile makes this picture the cutest thing ever, so I couldn’t not share it! His sweater is from MyEcoTot and his hat is from GeorgeHats! The rest of his outfit is linked, and so is mine, so just click on the picture to shop! Wade loves going to Target and as soon as he sees the red ball he starts asking to get a cake pop.. so that’s usually our first stop once we get inside!
So Target is having a really good sale on winter clothes right now before they start putting out clothes for spring! The only thing I got on sale was the blazer – it was $20 in store, but shows $33 online! I am always searching for new graphic tees they put out and saw this one for the first time today so I grabbed it – it’s under $15, I would definitely recommend sizing up one to two, though! I also grabbed this hat I’ve been eyeing for a few weeks! It says it’s grey online, but it has a blue hue to it! It’s under $25 and super great quality! All the hats you see me wear are from Target, and I’ve had most of them for over a year, they hold up great!

So, like I said above, this isn’t really how I would style all of this, but I went ahead and snapped a picture while I had all of it on! I also think my eyes might be closed but oh well hahahaha! I grabbed the blazer to style down with sweatsuits and graphic tees, but it would be super cute dressed up too! And it’s a really good price right now! I’m obsessed with the hat for sure! What’s funny is a year ago, I wouldn’t have worn a hat regularly like I do now! I was too worried about how other people thought I looked in one to actually like myself in them! Now, I love them! I wear them regularly and always get compliments on how cute I look in hats – and those people have no clue I used to think what I did! I tell you that to say, if there’s something you want to wear but you’re worried others might think you look silly, WEAR IT ANYWAYS! You’ll eventually be super confident and rock it like you’ve always wanted!
I went ahead and grabbed some of our fav food / snacks to tide us over until I have the desire to go grocery shopping or place a grocery order haha! I’ll tell you a bit about each one, so if that’s not something you’re super interested in, you can keep scrolling!
I love everything “Annie’s Homegrown” makes – but these are 2 of my favs! The cereal is super good without a bunch of extra unnecessary junk, and the mac-n-cheese is the BEST! I used it to make homemade hamburger helper a lot – I just cook it like the box says and brown some hamburger meat in a skillet! I add taco seasoning to the hamburger meat and it makes an easy, quick meal! My husband likes to add jalepenos to his when he eats it too!
The Garden Lite – Veggies Made Great muffins are my favorite mom hack! I buy those two flavors and Wade LOVES them – he asks for them every morning! They have hidden vegetables in them that he typically wouldn’t eat otherwise, so it’s a win for me! You just pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds then they’re done!
I also love to give him the Kodiak Power Waffles too! I love them for myself as well, to be honest! It’s a good source of protein and another easy breakfast!
I’m not necessarily stuck on the Gilbert’s brand chicken apple sausage – it’s just what I saw! I love to keep chicken apple sausage on hand! I make a “hash” with chicken apple sausage, sweet potatoes, and onion in the skillet! Then I top it with everything but the bagel seasoning and a fried egg! It’s an easy nutritious dinner and it sounded good this week!
The Perfect Bars are for me, but they make a kids version that Wade loves too! They’re a quick snack that’s actually filling and better than the junk I’ve been eating! They are a little pricey but I definitely think they are worth it!
And lastly, I grabbed the “Oatmeal Cookie One” Silk OatYeah Oat Milk Creamer! My regular Target doesn’t carry it, but since we went to another one that had it, I grabbed multiple. I had heard it was really good to use with the Nespressos, and it did not disappoint! It’s soooo good and frothed up so well! It was just enough flavor, too! I’ll def be buying more!

I only needed two beauty items, but I linked them for y’all anyways! I love the Simple Kind to Skin oil-free cleanser as my second cleanser! If you aren’t double cleansing and you have skin issues, start doing it ASAP! It helps my skin SO MUCH! This one is super affordable and is toxin-free! It works great for me and this is my third time buying it! I also ran out of conditioner so I grabbed some of the Kristen-Ess conditioner! It’s my fav drugstore conditioner and super affordable!
I think I’ll refrain from going back to Target until next week so that I can stop spending money, but I had to share these few things with y’all! I also ordered a 1.5″ curling iron last week that is supposed to be delivered this week, so I’ll share about that when it comes in! It was under $20 and had awesome reviews, but I want to see for myself first! If you don’t have a Target nearby, hopefully this helped you feel a little more magical like Target does for me! Love you, sis!
XOXO,
Caly Seagraves
